Extensive research and demographic studies have revealed that one of the most positive forces
for change and community transformation in every culture around the world is the involvement and dedication of the faith based
community and their volunteers. Where government programs and rigid bureaucracy have struggled to make measurable
progress in poor neighborhoods and communities, the faith based community has typically risen to the occasion and come up
with effective, sustainable and impacting programs that do not depend on tax funded support.
The CSD Council recognizes the wisdom and effectiveness of partnering with faith based organizations
and churches that already are making a huge difference in their community. We want to serve your vision and mission to help
you have an even greater impact.
How can a church or faith based ministry use a creative neighborhood center & sports venue ?
- Youth Clubs for street kids and neighbors
- Youth sports leagues, camps and tournaments
- Upward Sports evangelism and outreach
- Partner with existing sports organizations in your neighborhood to provide a warm and comfortable venue to touch the lives
of kids.
- Offer after school tutoring, mentoring and fun programs that draw kids off the street and in daily contact with your volunteers
- Fostering true friendships and relationships with neighborhood kids and families that otherwise may never be inclined
to enter the doors of a church.
- Recreational fun for the whole family with lots of laughter and lots of excercise!
- Serve the parents of the kids with GED programs, English as Second Language, employment training and resume development,
explore micro enterprise solutions for your neighborhood.
